SURFACE DECORATION - 5 Week - Saturday Afternoons - November
Surface Decoration
This class is not for beginners. It is recommended you have, at least, an intermediate understanding of clay work to enroll! We spend very little time in class making items. Class time will mainly be spent learning and exploring surface decoration techniques.
Each class, you will show up with items you have made. Depending on the technique topics, you will need to show up to class with work that is either wet, leather hard, bone dry, or bisque fired. We will discuss this more during the first class.
You are welcome and encouraged to use the SPAC studio to make your wares. You can use your own clay in class, or you can purchase clay from Southern PA Clay. If you need to use the SPAC studio BEFORE the actual class starts to create your wares, connect with me directly and you can use the studio free of charge!
This course is more exploration and introduction focused. Pieces that are made in class can, of course, be kept.
